It’s October! What Spooky Things Can I Do?

Too real. Let’s move on.

New England in general is a pretty great place for Halloween and spooky/creepy events. The leaves are already changing so definitely take a drive up through northern CT to see some beauties (especially Route 8!)

But for those of you looking for something scarier than red leaves, here are a few events you* may want to check out! (*I say you because as much as I love Halloween, I am so easily scared that I can’t go to anything scary!)

Scary Events/Haunted Houses

Trail of Terror (Wallingford) – October 6th through October 27. Buy your tickets in advance for this annual spooky haunted trail. Haunted Isle (East Haven) – Fridays + Saturdays through October 27. 45 minute walk through the haunted woods… Spirits of Milford Ghost Walk (Milford) – Thursdays-Saturdays through Nov 3 – 90 minute walk around Milford Nightmare on Wolcott St (Wolcott) – Fridays-Sundays in October. Indoor haunted house. Ghosts of New Haven (New Haven) – Click the link for a few different public and private tours of spooky New Haven spots.

Costume Parties/Dancing

Haunted Hollywood Dueling Pianos/Costume Party – Nov 1. Upstairs at Mickey’s in Hamden. $20 admission and prizes for costumes. Halloween Costume Party @ The Woodwinds (Branford) – Oct 31. Tickets vary in price. Halloween Costume and Dance Party @ Te Amo Tequila (New Haven) – Oct 31. No cover, live DJ. Museum After Dark Halloween Bash @ The New Britain Museum of American Art – Oct 25th. Dancing and costumes – buy your tickets in advance.

Hopefully you find some fun and creepy things to do this month!
